Annual Memorial Service
The service for this year has been cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Improvement works to the ashes lawn.
The ashes lawn improvement works will commence on Tuesday 6th April and are expected to take 8-10 weeks to complete.
Whilst the works are in progress there will be times when access will not be possible to the lawn area. We will move the flower vase stands to the outside of the lawn so that you may continue to place flowers in memory of loved ones during this period.
We apologise for any inconvenience these works may cause.
North East Surrey Crematorium have been interring ashes into the cremation lawn since 1958. We have reached a time when we will no longer be able to use this area to place ashes with previous deceased as the lawn is full. As this lawn is prone to flooding in the winter the new works will also provide drainage to the area to make visiting easier.
Following a public consultation the majority of respondents were in favour of raising the lawn by approx. 600mm (24”) in order to create a new lawn for ashes interments for many years to come. There will be no disturbance to the ashes which have already been interred.
The works will include the refurbishment of the civilian War Memorial.
For further information please call in to the office by the main gate or email nesc.office@enablelc.org
Thank you
